  1. Prepare Your Workspace

Choose a clean, flat surface to work on. Ensure the area is free of dust and debris that could scratch the acrylic sheet. Good lighting is essential to help you see the edges of the film clearly.

  2. Locate the Film Edges

Inspect the acrylic sheet to identify the corners or edges where the protective film begins. Most films have a slight overlap or tab that makes it easier to grip.

  3. Start Peeling

Gently lift one corner of the film using your fingernail or a plastic scraper. Be careful not to use sharp tools, as they can scratch the acrylic surface. Once you’ve lifted the corner, hold it firmly and pull it back slowly at a 45-degree angle.

  4. Peel Slowly and Steadily

Continue peeling the film back in a smooth, steady motion. Avoid pulling too quickly, as this can cause the film to tear or leave behind adhesive residue. If the film starts to tear, use your fingernail or a plastic scraper to lift the edge again.

  5. Address Stubborn Areas

If the film is difficult to remove or leaves adhesive residue, dampen a soft cloth with mild soapy water and gently rub the affected area. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as they can damage the acrylic surface.

  6. Inspect the Surface

Once the film is completely removed, inspect the acrylic sheet for any remaining adhesive or debris. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the surface and ensure it’s spotless.
